Thrown a curveball

It seems like just when everything has calmed down and seems to be under control that life decides to throw us a curveball. In these circumstances, there are only really two alternatives: either dodge the situation or face it head-on to hit it out of the ballpark. In order not to be taken by surprise by life’s ups and downs, the lesson in life is clearly to never rest on your laurels.
