While it is true that working hard can help to get us ahead, there comes a point when we must question whether the result is worth all the effort. In the cutthroat environment of work culture, there is a propensity to dig in harder to beat the competition for higher rewards, and so everything else comes second to the vocation. When we find ourselves putting in long hours for little to no real gain, we need to realize that the grind is not for us but for those who enforce the extra work.
