Objects in the rearview mirror are closer than they appear

There is a reason why the rearview mirror is smaller than the windshield, but that doesn’t mean that it holds less weight depending on the situation. It is a valid strategy to be forward-looking, though it also pays to occasionally glance backward to see how far we’ve come from old ways. Our past will follow us wherever we go, and there can be occasions when it catches up with us to put us back at square one.
