Most grunge music fans attribute the movement to the 90s, but it was actually born in Seattle before that in the early 80s. It wasn’t until some of the big-name grunge bands hit mainstream that the genre really took off on a global scale and went on to shape rock music thereafter. One common mistake is to look for that special state of being when it already exists and can be found simply by listening to it.
