Social interactions can be challenging in the best of times, but when we are constantly encountered by those who go on and on about nothing other than themselves, the off switch becomes a useful solution. An interesting question is why so many fall into the paradox of seeking recognition and validation to the point where they become simply detestable for all those around them. It stands to reason that the most interesting people in the room are the ones that permeate nonchalance through the simple act of not caring at all.
