There have been many philosophers throughout history who have tried to define existence on the basis of rational thought. Descartes is well known for stating that we are simply because we think, but the problem with this premise is that it ignores the essence of experience, which is feeling. Thoughts are the source of all suffering, so instead of basing our reason to exist on them, we can embrace our instinct.
