Everything’s Great! Ignore the Elephant

When a controversial problem arises, it takes tenacity and humility to face and resolve it quickly and efficiently. The alternative is to just pretend that it does not exist and sweep any reminder of it under the carpet. This way one can ignore the issue and enjoy the absence of any ramifications in the short term, but this will only delay the inevitable when the issue becomes too big to hide in plain sight.
