Ducks all in a row

Being obsessed with controlling how things transpire is often hailed as a positive attribute in planning and organization, yet it comes with some serious caveats. Getting everything in place and lined up for the envisaged situation fails to realize that nothing really goes exactly as planned due to an unlimited plethora of unexpected factors that can influence the outcome. Getting all our ducks in a row is great in theory, but it can’t be ignored that ducks generally don’t follow rules let alone order.
