Better to be hated for who I am than to be loved for who I’m not

The amount of effort that some of us put in to be validated and liked by others is impressive at best and downright ridiculous at worst. Being judged by others is unavoidable, so the choice is whether to focus on that reality or simply let it go as someone else’s business that is not of our concern. It is impossible to please everyone all the time, so there will be times when we are disliked so the question is whether we regard this as a problem or not.
