A rush of emo

There are a lot of things that can be taken for granted in life, and it is only when the end of it rushes up faster than desired that gratitude for the simpler things becomes clearer. It is often taboo to address the subject of mortality, as it invokes a certain discomfort about the unknown and the awkward philosophy of existentialism. We most probably only get to live this life once, so when the end of it starts to rush up unexpectedly, we should face it for what it really means for the rest of our time.
