Punk Rules

The rules of punk are quite simply that there are no rules. This is the reason why punk culture and punk rock music just rules. It all started in the 1960s with garage bands that decided to divert from classic rock tendencies with stripped-down instrumentals coupled with fast-paced, hard-edged guitar riffs and politically inspired anti-establishment lyrics. This movement influenced music ever since and can be heard today through a variety of music genres.
