It is so much more convenient to perceive the world in terms of opposing concepts such as right and wrong, failure and success, just and unjust, as well as all other binary opposites. The reason is that it enables us to simplify complex issues and put ourselves on the side of false reasoning. The reality is that nothing is as simple as black or white, and it is the spaces between that bring us closer together.
