There was a time not so long ago when one generation decided that they deserved more of the planet’s resources and were entitled to take them despite leaving a heavy burden for those who would arrive after them. It was a glorious period when all that mattered was a self-indulgent free-for-all to satisfy consumption desires even when that meant indebting the world for future generations to pick up the bill.
