Why does humanity insist on fueling hate to the point of literally annihilating each other in all-out war? The answer lies in our inherent ignorance and underlying fear that others might have something that belongs to us through nothing more than privilege. If we step back and realize that we all co-exist on this very small planet in the middle of a vast universe, then getting on with each other seems like a good idea.
