Some of us are old enough to remember back in the day when an offshoot of punk music spawned into a new sound with the replacement of heavy guitars for synthesizers. It was already a new wave sound that got transformed into a more radio-friendly, pop-infused version. Groundbreaking bands mastered the early new wave sound, which then became iconic and treasured in collections and playlists to this very day.
