American Exceptionalism

There is one country that lives in some kind of alternate reality whereby their inhabitants firmly believe that they are superior to the rest of the world. They justify this premise with the delusional belief that their assets deserve a premium valuation due to their patriotic belief system. It is always at the time when an empire justifies its superiority on little more than an idea that its ultimate demise is imminent.
